Curd Rice

This is one of the simplest Indian recipe, best one if you are a bachelor.  Here is the cook book.

  • Cooked Rice 1 cup
  • Curd(Yogurt) 2cup
  • Ginger 1/2inch fine chopped
  • Split black gram 1tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Green Chilli 2 fine chopped
  • Red chilli 1
  • Asafoetida
  • Coriader leaves
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil 1tsp
  • Salt 
  • Sugar(Optional)
  • Pamogranite(Optional)
  • Raisins (Optional)

  • Heat oil in a pan in medium flame. Add split black gram. Wait till it turns golden brown.
  • Now add mustard seeds. Once it flutters add asafoetida, curry leaves and redchilli. Switch of the flame. 
  • Now add curd,coriander leaves and cooked rice. Mix it well. 
  • Mango Pickle tastes well with curd rice.
Tips: If you cool the curd rice in fridge it tastes better. Remember not to freeze, just cool it.
